The President of the New Development Bank, established by the BRICS countries, has revealed that the bank plans to start disbursing loans in the currencies of South Africa and Brazil as part of its efforts to reduce reliance on the US dollar and promote a more multipolar international financial system.
The President of the New Development Bank, former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, also mentioned that the bank is considering membership applications from approximately 15 countries and may approve the entry of 4 to 5 countries.
She declined to disclose the specific countries but emphasized that increasing geographical diversity in representation is a priority for the New Development Bank.
