Kit Juckes, Chief Global FX Strategist at Crédit Agricole, has stated that despite the currency market‘s subdued state during the summer, the US dollar continues to shine as a standout performer.
The US dollar has been on an upward trajectory throughout August, and it is anticipated to keep climbing until action is taken by the Bank of Japan (which is not expected to convene before September 22), there is an improvement in European data (a possibility that remains limited), or if US data weakens and/or Federal Reserve officials adopt a more cautious stance at the Jackson Hole conference.
