The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and three banknote-issuing banks in Hong Kong, namely Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and the HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, jointly announced on 24 July 2018 the launch of the new 2018 Hong Kong banknote series.
