In 50 dollar bills, it is about 38,900 grams, or 77.8 jin.
All in 20 yuan bills, about 98,000 grams, or 190 jin.
These are all calculations, and the weight of the old yuan could be even higher.
Each of the new 100 yuan notes will weigh about 1.15 grams, while the 50 yuan note will weigh about 0.9725 grams and the 20 yuan note will weigh about 0.95 grams.
The denominations of RMB notes are 100 yuan, 50 yuan, 20 yuan, 10 yuan, 5 yuan, 1 yuan, 5 jiao and 1 jiao, and the denominations of coins are 1 yuan, 5 jiao and 1 jiao.
Five sets of RMB have been issued. The first set was issued on December 1, 1948, and continued to be issued until December 1953.
The second set was released on 1 March 1955;
The third set was released on April 20, 1962;
The fourth set was released on 2 April 1987;
The fifth set was released after 28 September 1999.
